Businesses, neighborhood organizations, property owners and residents are invited to attend an open house and presentation on future streetscape enhancements on 124th Avenue Northeast south of Northeast Eighth Street.
At the open house, Thursday, June 20, 4:30-6:30 p.m. (with a presentation at 5:30 p.m.) at Three Cedars Waldorf School, 556 124th Ave. NE, people can learn about enhancements being considered, such as paving, street trees, medians, lighting or street furniture.
From Northeast Eighth Street to State Route 520, 124th Avenue Northeast is a multi-use corridor connecting the Wilburton neighborhood to the Bel-Red area and SR 520, transitioning from a residential area at the south end to a commercial and business area on the north.
With the new development and transportation investments planned for this corridor, the city is asking for the public's help in identifying possible streetscape features that would enhance 124th Street between Main Street and Northeast Eighth Street. It is an opportunity to ask questions of project staff, learn more about the project and volunteer for the Neighborhood Streetscapes Committee.
