Just over a year ago Bellevue grew by more than 5,400 residents with the annexation of the Eastgate, Horizon View and Tamara Hills neighborhoods in south Bellevue. It marked the last major annexation for Bellevue, which incorporated 60 years ago with a population of about 5,900; today the number tops 130,000. For many new residents, changes during the past year have been positive.
"The most significant difference we've seen is the simple fact we have someone we can call who cares and will listen," said Tim Auld, who lives in the Eastgate neighborhood. From the front lawn of his house, Auld talks about the transition and his expectations for the future in the June edition of Lake to Lake, a monthly news show about Bellevue.
