It's Your City, Bellevue's citywide newsletter, is being delivered to local homes and businesses this week. You'll probably notice the issue has a bold, new look.
After more than 10 years, It’s Your City needed a refresh. The design is cleaner and more colorful, with a less intimidating font and new headings for special sections.
Our aim with the redesign is to deliver a more modern look that better reflects Bellevue, now a very diverse, high-tech hub that continues to grow while retaining the woodsy charm of peaceful neighborhoods with dozens of parks and trails.
Of course, we still offer strong content with coverage of:
- the election of John Chelminiak and Lynne Robinson as mayor and deputy mayor
- construction of Meydenbauer Bay Park, which — at the halfway point — gives a good idea of what it will look like at completion
- the latest Human Services Needs Update, which shows residents’ continuing concerns about the high cost of living in Bellevue
- previews of the neighborhood forum coming up on March 28 and the neighborhoods conference set for April 21
- a map detailing all of the mitigation being done to address construction and operation of Sound Transit’s East Link light rail through Bellevue
In addition, Councilmember Conrad Lee contributed a Council Corner column about how we are following through on our vision of a city that welcomes the world.
We welcome your feedback about the new It’s Your City. Please email your suggestions and comments to communications@bellevuewa.gov.
