Northwest Bellevue residents with ideas for enhancing your neighborhood — now is your time to shine! Please join city staff on Wednesday, April 18, 6:30-8 p.m. at the Northwest Arts Center, 9825 NE 24th St., to kick off the Neighborhood Enhancement Program (NEP) in Northwest Bellevue.
City staff will provide attendees with an overview of this exciting program, answer questions and invite residents to share their ideas for potential projects. The NEP event is also a great opportunity for new residents to meet their neighbors and city staff, as well as for existing residents to reconnect with their community.
The Neighborhood Enhancement Program is a city-funded program that provides residents the opportunity to propose and select modest, capital projects to enhance their neighborhoods. The program rotates through the city's 14 NEP neighborhood areas over the course of seven years, serving two areas each year. The $5 million program allocation is distributed among each of the NEP neighborhood areas, according to the number of households in each area, with Northwest Bellevue receiving more than $300,000 in available funds.
