People preparing to apply for naturalization can learn about the process for obtaining U.S. citizenship at an information session at the Bellevue Library, 4-6 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 4.
An official from United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) will present the latest information about naturalization, including requirements and steps to becoming a citizen. People can also ask general questions regarding immigration and naturalization.
The information session can also be helpful for people filling out the N-400 naturalization application and those curious about what the naturalization interview is like. City staff have seen a rise in questions about naturalization.
The event, sponsored by the City of Bellevue, the King County Library System and USCIS, is free. RSVPs are appreciated. Interpretation can be arranged. To RSVP and/or request interpretation, please call Ying Carlson (425-452-4342 or ycarlson@bellevuewa.gov).
