The City Council is united in urging residents to mask up. Face coverings are required statewide in all public spaces because they are effective in slowing the spread of COVID-19, and Bellevue's elected leaders endorse and model this simple measure that saves lives in a minute-long video.
"We are urging everyone to take coronavirus to task by wearing a mask," Deputy Mayor Deputy Jared Nieuwenhuis says as he dons a mask. All seven members of the council, including Nieuwenhuis and Mayor Lynne Robinson, recorded selfie videos for the public service announcement.
