The Bellevue Downtown Association offers a tuneful twist to the lunch hour with the 13th annual Live at Lunch concert series. The series kicks off at noon Tuesday at City Center Plaza and runs through Sept. 12 with free concerts every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
"It's a great way to break up the day and enjoy summer in the city," said Patrick Bannon, BDA president. "We have a stellar lineup of regional artists and popular bands, infusing downtown with jazz, flamenco soul, disco, R&B funk, rock and roll, Latin guitar, top 40 hits and more."
Tuesday and Wednesday concerts will take place in outdoor plazas and open spaces throughout downtown, while Bellevue Galleria's Compass Plaza hosts each Thursday concert. The annual "rockaraoke" contest, where contestants compete with a live band, will be Aug. 15 at Bellevue Galleria. Concert-goers can also enter to win lunch for two for a year at Tap House Grill.
The BDA has event and venue information, including the concert schedule. For day-of event updates, follow Live at Lunch on Facebook and Twitter (#LiveAtLunch)
