Mayor Claudia Balducci will share her perspective on preserving neighborhood character in an environment of rapid change as part of a conversation at the neighborhood leadership gathering on Tuesday, October 7.
Neighborhood leaders and other residents actively involved in neighborhood issues are invited to the event from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at City Hall, room 1E-108. Following a short video presentation, and remarks by Mayor Balducci, residents will join in a conversation on the topic, "Neighborhood Character: What to Preserve Amidst Change."
Small group discussions will focus on what neighborhood character means and what is important to preserve and protect. Neighborhood Outreach Manager Mike McCormick-Huentelman will facilitate the discussion.
Neighborhood association members, emerging leaders and those interested in becoming more involved in their neighborhood, or in the city, are invited to attend. The gatherings give neighborhood leaders an opportunity to voice their opinions on critical community issues focused at the neighborhood level.
The event is free and light refreshments will be served. To attend, please RSVP to neighborhoodoutreach@bellevuewa.gov or call 425-452-6836.
