The Bellevue Human Services Commission will hold a public hearing on housing and human services needs in Bellevue 6 p.m. Monday, May 4, at City Hall.

The information collected at the hearing, along with other methods of community outreach, will inform the development of the 2027 Community Development Block Grant annual action plan. This information will also be considered during the development of upcoming 2027 and 2028 Human Services biennial funding recommendations, including 2027 CDBG allocations. The CDBG allocations depend on the city receiving its 2027 allocation of funds from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.

Bellevue’s human services function supports thriving communities by funding key services, principally for low- and moderate-income people. These services address the most significant gaps and disparities for Bellevue community members related to food security and basic needs, homelessness prevention, health, behavioral health, childcare and early learning. There is support for marginalized community members including youth, older adults and those with disabilities.

The May 4 Human Services Commission meeting, which includes the public hearing, will be held in person and virtually. The agenda will be available on the Human Services Commission calendar on April 30, with details on online access.

Written comments will be accepted if submitted to the commission at humanservicescommission@bellevuewa.gov by noon on May 4.
