Significant gaps exist in the availability of human services in Bellevue, according to the 2025 Bellevue Human Services Needs Assessment. To help address these challenges, the City of Bellevue is accepting applications from human service providers in the community for 2027-2028 funding. Proposals can be submitted Monday, March 2, to 4 p.m., Monday, April 6.
Bellevue funds programs that address the full spectrum of human service needs, including food security, housing stability, homelessness prevention, health, behavioral health, youth services, domestic violence services and childcare subsidies.
Bellevue is a member of the Human Services Funders Collaborative and participates in a common application process with 17 other cities in King County to fund human services. Human service providers can apply at Share-1-App. The Bellevue Human Services Commission will begin reviewing Bellevue’s applications in May.
Selection factors include: providers delivering services identified in the Bellevue Human Services Needs Update and the 2024-2030 Human Services Strategic Plan, prior provider performance, diversity and cultural competence, and consideration of the broad continuum of human services.
To ensure the city is a good fiscal steward, contracts are awarded through a competitive process.
Agencies interested in applying for funds are encouraged to attend either of two workshops. The workshops, open to everyone, are especially helpful for first-time applicants.
- Tuesday, March 3, 1-3 p.m., SeaTac City Hall, 4800 S 188th St., SeaTac
- Wednesday, March 4, 10 a.m.-noon, Redmond City Hall, council chamber, 15670 NE 85th St., Redmond
