Would you like to show off our city to visitors from Japan? Here’s your chance to help others discover what makes Bellevue “the city where you want to be.” In September several host families in Bellevue are needed for Japanese families visiting Washington for the 28th Japan-American Grassroots Summit.
Fourteen localities including Bellevue are hosting approximately 150 Japanese guests as part of the international exchange program. The three-day home stay, scheduled for Sept. 20-23, is designed to give the visitors a rich variety of experiences to create once-in-a-lifetime memories of their visit.
Here’s what a host family is expected to provide:
- Three nights in-home lodging from Sept. 20 – 23
- Basic amenities for one to two Japanese guests including meals with you and/or your family:
- Three breakfasts
- One lunch
- Three dinners
- Show your guest(s) two to three notable local/regional attractions
