Progress toward 30% design of signature crossing over I-405 to be shared
The City of Bellevue is holding an open house Thursday, May 2, at the Bellevue Botanical Garden to share progress toward 30% design of the Grand Connection Crossing, which will provide a safe and enjoyable way for people to walk, bike and roll from downtown Bellevue across I-405 to Wilburton and the Eastrail.
Registration for the event is encouraged.
During the open house, 5-8 p.m. in the Aaron Education Center at the Botanical Garden, the team will share what they have learned from community members so far, outline next steps to reach 30% design and seek input from attendees on priority features for the crossing.
With the Grand Connection Crossing, the city hopes to create a vibrant landmark that celebrates our community, improves access to regional transit and trails and weaves together future developments for gathering, shopping and dining throughout downtown.
The city seeks input from all community members, regardless of language spoken, age or ability. Interpreters and reasonable accommodation can be made available for guests if a request is made at least 48 hours in advance. To make a request, please contact Laura Milstead at 425-452-6995 (voice) or lmilstead@bellevuewa.gov.
