Is BelRed changing the way we planned? Are the city’s strategies working to establish new transit-oriented neighborhoods along with other complementary uses or do they need some adjustment? Residents and other stakeholders will be asked these questions at focus groups in City Hall.
The focus groups, each of which will cover the same information, will be at City Hall (Room 1E-108) on the following days. Please RSVP with Emil King (eaking@bellevuewa.gov or 425-452-7223) if you would like to participate.
- June 15, noon-1:30 p.m.
- June 16, 6-7:30 p.m.
- June 17, 8-9:30 a.m.
In 2009, the city adopted a suberea plan and zoning and code changes for BelRed (story map). Today, with the "BelRed Look Back" project, the city is reviewing what has happened in BelRed since then to identify implementation strategies that are working and those that may need adjustment to more effectively achieve the city's vision for BelRed.
In July and August, after an inventory of investment in BelRed over the last seven years and outreach to stakeholders, staff will recommend strategies to better facilitate changes in BelRed.
