Traffic Advisory on NE 8th St. for Republic Services drop-off location July 17

Republic Services is providing a free drop-off location for Bellevue residents Thursday, July 17, 8 a.m.-2:30 p.m. at Odle Middle School, 502 143rd Ave. NE. Be aware of long wait times impacting traffic in the area and pack your patience. Bagged garbage, recycling and compost materials will be accepted there.     Bellevue Parks & Community Services, Neighborhood Outreach and King County Library will host CHOW DOWN town - Bellevue Food Truck Round-Up on Thursday, August 14, 3:30-8:30 p.m., at Ashwood Park, 10820 NE 10th St.

    The event will feature a picnic in the park with various food choices from about a dozen of Bellevue's most popular food trucks.

    Vendors will include: ChopStix - Asian Fusion; Falafel Salam - Middle Eastern; Lumpia World - Filipino; Street Treats - Ice Cream sandwiches; Skillet Street Food - Burgers, Poutine; Yi Dim Sum - Dim Sum; Buns on Wheels – Gourmet Burgers; Ezell’s Express Chicken - Southern Fried Chicken; Tokyo Dog – Japanese-style hot dogs; Hot Revolution - Mini hot donuts; and Fruit Chatterbox - Fresh cut fruit with fun toppings.

    Bring your blankets and lawn chairs and enjoy free entertainment provided by Dysfunction Junction Bluegrass Band, 5:30-7:30 p.m.

    The event is open to all ages and admission is free. Food prices range from $2 to $17. Free parking is available at the Bellevue Library.
