Bomb cyclone storm impacts

A bomb cyclone windstorm lashed Bellevue the night of Tuesday, Nov. 19, bringing down trees throughout the city and leaving hundreds of thousands without power. Most city facilities, including City Hall, had power Wednesday, damages from the storm continue to impact Bellevue. Updates about the city's response will be posted at Bomb Cyclone Storm.

Wintergrass, Washington's venerable bluegrass festival, takes place in Bellevue this weekend, starting Thursday and winding up on Sunday. The 20th edition of the event is at the Bellevue Hyatt Regency downtown, with performances by nearly 30 bands.

A range of musical stylings will be on offer in addition to bluegrass, including swing, Americana, Irish folk and ragtime. The lineup, along with information about workshops and area hotel rooms, is available at Wintergrass.
