After working the past two years on a community vision for the Eastgate/I-90 corridor, Bellevue and its partners are inviting the public view the progress at an open house.
The Eastgate/I-90 Land Use & Transportation Project Open House will take place from 7 to 8:30 p.m., Thursday, October 2, at Newport Library, 14250 SE Newport Way.
The Eastgate/ I-90 corridor, which includes business areas on both sides of Interstate 90, east of I-405, is an important economic and transportation center for the city.
Bellevue and its partners, Bellevue College and the Mountains to Sound Greenway Trust, established a community vision in 2012 that seeks to enhance economic vitality, provide for neighborhood retail services, improve transportation options, improve environmental quality and develop visual character,
Attendees at the October 2 drop-in event can learn about the project, ask questions, and make comments. City staff will be on hand to discuss proposed land-use changes, planning for Bellevue Airfield Park, and planning for transit, sidewalks and the Mountains to Sound Greenway Trail.
