The City of Bellevue is joining communities across the country to celebrate National Drinking Water Week, recognizing the essential role that safe and reliable drinking water plays in everyday life. Community members are invited to visit the Water-Smart Table at City Hall Wednesday, May 6, 8 a.m.-4 p.m.
At the table, you can learn more about your drinking water, meet Bellevue Utilities staff and pick up water-saving resources and giveaways.
From morning coffee to cooking meals, safe and reliable tap water supports public health, safety, and quality of life. This week is a chance for the community to pause and appreciate the journey water takes to reach our taps.
“Safe drinking water is something we all depend on every day,” said Bellevue Utilities Director Lucy Liu. “National Drinking Water Week is an opportunity to highlight the work behind the scenes to keep our water safe and to encourage simple actions we can all take to protect this vital resource.”
At Water people can explore how water gets from source to the tap in the Bellevue Utilities service area and what it takes to keep it safe and reliable. People can find simple, effective tips to reduce water use and protect our shared resources at Water Conservation.
