A crime prevention workshop focusing on preventing scams, burglaries and car prowls is scheduled for Thursday, May 8, 6-8:30 p.m. at City Hall.
Guest speakers will include: Alan Lai, crime victim service director at the Chinese Information Service Center (CISC), who will make a presentation on scams targeting immigrants; Police Officer Richard Chinn, who will discuss car prowl and burglary prevention; Malcolm Frederick, U.S. Secret Service special agent, who will speak about Internet-based scams; and Danielle Prince, program director for the Eastside Legal Assistance Program, who will talk about legal resources available for crime victims.
This workshop is cosponsored by the City of Bellevue Diversity Program and Bellevue Police.
