The City Council Tuesday held the third and final public hearing on the preliminary 2027–2028 Operating Budget and the 2027–2032 Capital Improvement Program. Nearly 40 people spoke at the meeting and 63, including some of Tuesday’s speakers, submitted written comments.
City Manager Diane Carlson submitted the proposed budget in early September, and the council has discussed it multiple times since. The council hosted earlier public hearings concerning Bellevue’s biennial budget on June 23 and Sept. 15.
The council will have a chance to ask questions and deliberate on the budget Nov. 3, and is scheduled to consider adopting the budget at their meeting Nov. 17. Details are available in the agenda materials.
