Bellevue's Environmental Services Commission is seeking comments on the city's proposed 2015-2016 Utilities budget and rates, and will hold a public hearing at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, November 6. Citizens can provide written and/or oral comments at the meeting, at City Hall, room 1E-113, 450 110th Ave. NE.
Bellevue Utilities provides water, wastewater and storm drainage services, which, by law, are accounted for as separate enterprise funds. While the budgets for these funds are included in the city's overall budget, they are reviewed by the Environmental Services Commission, which advises the City Council on utility budgets, rates, planning and other issues. As part of their review, the commission holds a public hearing to solicit comments and input on the proposed Utilities budget and rates.
