On Thursday, at approximately 11:48 a.m., Bellevue Police and Fire units responded to a collision involving multiple vehicles and a pedestrian in the 15100 block of Northeast Eighth Street. The street was closed between 148th and 156th avenues through Thursday afternoon, as police investigate the incident.
The collision was caused when a silver sedan heading westbound on Eighth Street crossed into oncoming traffic. The car collided with at least two other vehicles before spinning out of control and hitting a person walking on the sidewalk.
Firefighters extricated two occupants from involved vehicles. A total of eight people, ranging in age from four to 56 years old, were transported to Overlake Hospital with minor injuries, including the 20-year-old woman who was driving the silver car.
