The swimming area at Clyde Beach Park will close on Tuesday as crews begin work to replace a swim pier. The beach is expected to remain closed until mid-October when the work is complete.
The project also will require closure of the lower parking lot, the west turf area and the walkway to the pier. The rest of the park, located at 9415 Lake Washington Blvd, will remain open.
During the closure, crews will replace pilings and deck material that are more than 40 years old. Signs will be posted at the park with information about the project and area closures. For additional information, call Project Coordinator Bret Wilson at 425-452-2932.
