The city will hold a community forum on June 3 to hear directly from Bellevue residents, business owners and other stakeholders about Puget Sound Energy's Energize Eastside project.
The city is now engaged with the community and PSE on Energize Eastside, an effort to bring new, higher-capacity (230-kilovolt) transmission lines to the Eastside. City officials recognize that siting major, new infrastructure in a well-established city such as Bellevue is complex and will require tough decisions, which is why the city is holding the community forum. Here are the details:
- What: Community Forum on PSE's Energize Eastside project
- When: Tuesday, June 3 from 7-9 p.m.
- Where: City Hall Council Chambers, 450 110th Ave. NE
Reliable electric power supply is important to Bellevue residents and businesses today and will be critical as the city prepares for future growth. Bellevue is a growing city and having reliable electric power to serve residents and businesses is vitally important to the city's quality of life and continued economic prosperity.
Feedback received at the forum will be reported to the City Council on June 16, and will also help guide the city's continuing engagement on the project and electrical facilities planning.
