Would you like to see Bellevue's Comprehensive Plan changed in some way? The city will accept applications for proposed amendments to the plan December 1 through January 31.
The Comprehensive Plan guides the nature and intensity of development in Bellevue. With amendments, the city periodically modifies its land use, development and growth policies to keep pace with changing circumstances. Plan amendments are approved by the City Council with broad public participation and discussion. This annual process for individual plan amendment requests is separate from the city’s 10-year review and update of the overall Comprehensive Plan, which is currently under way.
The council considers amendments on an annual basis only, except for emergencies. Proposed amendments submitted during the two-month window will be acted upon by the council in fall 2015. A Comprehensive Plan amendment application is available.
