The popular Chow Down(town) - Bellevue Food Truck Round-Up will be held twice this summer -- on Thursday, July 9, and Thursday, August 13, 3:30-8:30 p.m., at Ashwood Park, 10895 NE 12th St.
Sponsored by Bellevue Parks & Community Services, the King County Library System, JayMarc Homes and Bellevue.com, the events will feature a picnic in the park with various food choices from more than a dozen food trucks, plus free entertainment.
Vendors will include: ChopStix - Asian fusion; Falafel Salam - Middle Eastern; Street Treats - ice cream sandwiches; Skillet Street Food - burgers, poutine; Buns on Wheels - gourmet burgers; Ezell's Express Chicken - Southern fried chicken; Tokyo Dog - Japanese-style hot dogs; Hot Revolution - mini hot donuts; Jemils Big Easy - Cajun; Thai-U-Up - Thai food; Peasant Food Manifesto - global comfort fusion; Ultimate Melt - gourmet grilled cheese; Napkin Friends - Jewish; and Fish Basket - seafood.
Bring your blankets and lawn chairs and enjoy free entertainment on the JayMarc Homes stage, including the Panduo Steel Drum Band, 5-6 p.m., and Comfort Food blending African Rhythms with Jazz, 6:30-7:30 p.m., on July 9.
The event is open to all ages and admission is free. Food prices range from $2 to $17. Free parking is available at the Bellevue Library.
