In September the city, the Indo-American Friendship Forum and the Trade Development Alliance of Greater Seattle hosted Nirupama Rao, ambassador of India to the U.S., at a special event at City Hall as a way to celebrate our partnership with the Indian community.
More than 100 people attended -- including City Council members, congressmen Adam Smith and Jim McDermott and representatives from the governor's office, as well as many business and community leaders. The event was an opportunity to enhance relations and discuss future opportunities.
