In response to continued hot, dry weather and high fire danger, the King County Fire Chiefs Association Thursday issued a Stage 2 burn ban, effective immediately, for the entire county.
All outdoor fires, including recreational campfires, cooking fires and ceremonial fires, are prohibited until further notice. Gas and charcoal grills are allowed, as long as they are on concrete surfaces, along with fireplaces and fire tables. Please use caution when disposing of charcoal remains.
Five Bellevue firefighters are currently deployed in Washington and Oregon locations, helping battle wildfires. Three of them, along with the city’s brush fire truck, are assisting firefighting efforts in Spokane.
The King County Fire Chiefs are working in cooperation with the King County Fire Marshals and King County to continually monitor wildfire fuel and weather conditions.
Please do not hesitate to reach out to the Bellevue Fire Prevention (fire_prevention@bellevuewa.gov or 425-452-6872) should you have any questions.
