This Sunday, starting at 9 a.m. the annual Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk will start and end at the Bellevue Downtown Park. The walk, an American Cancer Society fundraiser, will close lanes on Bellevue Way and streets in the Enatai and Old Bellevue.
The closures below will occur between 9 and 10:30, when participants are expected on the route:
- 9-10 a.m. 104th Avenue Southeast closed southbound from Southeast Eighth to Southeast 16th streets;
- 9:15-10 a.m. Southeast 16th Street closed westbound from 104th Avenue Southeast to Killarney Way;
- 9:15-10:30 a.m. Killarney Way (100th Avenue Southeast, 99th Avenue Southeast, 97th Avenue Southeast and 101st Avenue Southeast) closed northbound from Southeast 16th Street to Main Street; and
- 9:30-10:30 a.m. Main Street closed westbound from 102nd Avenue to 100th Avenue. Eastbound Main Street will be local access only at 100th Avenue.
Closures will be set up earlier in the morning and may impact access for the general public.
Drivers should expect heavy traffic impact on and around Bellevue Way from 9 to 9:30 and around Old Bellevue from 9:30 to 10:30.
