The City Council is seeking candidates to fill vacancies on several boards and commissions. Residents interested in shaping Bellevue’s future are encouraged to apply online by 5 p.m. on Monday, April 14.
Comprised of dedicated volunteers appointed by the mayor and confirmed by the council, board and commission members serve four-year terms and provide input on key city policies and projects. These groups meet regularly to advise the council and engage the public.
Openings
- Environmental Services Commission – Advises the council on Bellevue Utilities' services, including water, wastewater, stormwater, garbage collection, budgeting, capital projects and policies. Meets first Thursday of the month at 6:30 p.m.
- Parks & Community Services Board – Guides park planning, design, development and community services policies, including recreation, diversity, and environmental education. Meets third Wednesday of the month at 6 p.m.
- Transportation Commission – Reviews and recommends policies on transportation projects, funding and traffic standards. Meets second Thursday of the month at 6:30 p.m., with an additional meeting as needed on the fourth Thursday.
Who Can Apply?
With the exception of the Environmental Services Commission, applicants must be residents of Bellevue. For the Environmental Services Commission, applicants must live in the Bellevue Utilities service area. The City of Bellevue values diversity and encourages all interested individuals to apply.
