Bellevue Television is the recipient of three 2015 National Association of Telecommunications Officers and Advisors Government Programming Awards announced Sept. 11 in San Diego, Calif.
A profile featuring local artist Miguel Edwards received first place honors in the arts and entertainment category. In addition, two videos received third-place awards, including one highlighting the EZ Rocks Skate for the Cure event, for edited event coverage, and one for a video called "What's Next Bellevue," in the instruction/training category.
Production staff for the videos included John Burwell, Robin Steel Haaseth, David Richardson, Ben Shahabi, Mei Dayton-Celt and David Bruckner.
BTV airs on Channel 21, and can also be streamed any any time from online Bellevue TV and the city's YouTube channel.
NATOA receives more than 1,000 entries annually, representing more than 150 agencies throughout the U.S. and Canada. The awards recognize excellence in broadcase, cable, multimedia and electronic programming produced by local government agencies throughout North America.
