The city continues to garner recognition for its work in the area of performance management. The International City/County Management Association recently awarded Bellevue a certificate of excellence from the organization's Center for Performance Analytics.
Bellevue is one of just 29 jurisdictions nationwide to receive the certificate of excellence -- the highest level awarded. It's the 13th consecutive year Bellevue has earned the award. Jurisdictions meeting the qualifications have demonstrated leadership in continuous improvement and community engagement, and serve as examples for other governments to follow.
"Performance management is a top priority for the city. Our elected officials understand there is a strong correlation between tracking data and delivering results to our customers, the public," said City Manager Brad Miyake. "Recognition by ICMA confirms we're taking care of business at a very high level."
