After extended closures due to COVID-19, Bellevue ballfields opened Wednesday, June 17, and reservations are now being taken for group practices of five or less. The fields, if not scheduled, are also available for drop-in use for groups of five or less.
Ballfields at Bannerwood Sports Park and ones at Marymoor Park owned by Bellevue will open on Monday, June 22. Bellevue’s golf courses and outdoor tennis courts opened earlier this spring, but playgrounds, sports courts, picnic shelters and community centers remain closed until further notice.
The decision to open the ballfields follows the Safe Start guidelines for the state’s phased reopening plan in response to COVID-19. King County applied to move to Phase 2 of the plan, which would further allow certain activities and businesses to operate.
