The City of Bellevue is hosting a listening session to invite the community to provide input on Bellevue’s thriving arts and culture ecosystem. The listening session will be Wednesday, Oct. 9, 6 p.m. at City Hall. There will also be an opportunity to learn about the Bellevue Arts Museum’s receivership process and the city’s role in the proceedings.
"A thriving arts ecosystem is an essential component of our city's cultural and economic fabric," Mayor Lynne Robinson notes. "Bellevue’s arts and culture scene not only reflects our community, but brings people together and builds bridges to understanding that support our sense of belonging. We are committed to understanding the needs of our arts community and supporting a diverse, vibrant and equitable mix of offerings for the entire region.”
Feedback from this event, combined with results from past surveys and community engagement efforts, will be used by the city and Arts Commission to inform future support for the arts. Feedback may also be used to provide input into the city’s available actions during the receivership process.
