The City of Bellevue has released its 2023 Water Quality Report, which provides Bellevue residents and businesses with important information about the safety of the city’s drinking water, and how it meets federal standards for tap water.
This year’s Water Quality Report details how the city monitors and tests the community’s water supply, protecting it from harmful contaminants. The report includes testing results for over 200 chemical compounds, along with important information on what happens when there is a water quality emergency.
“Bellevue Utilities designs, operates and maintains the city’s crucial water storage and distribution system, which includes ensuring the city’s water is safe and reliable,” said Lucy Liu, interim director of Bellevue Utilities. “Continuing to invest wisely in the infrastructure and testing needed to deliver essential utility services to our growing community remains a top priority for us.”
A copy of the Water Quality Report was included in the summer edition of the It’s Your City newsletter recently delivered to every resident and business in Bellevue. An electronic version is also available. The report is available in multiple languages at Water Quality. Additional printed copies are available upon request by calling 425-452-6932 or emailing Utilities@bellevuewa.gov.
