Bellevue offers training to applicants for stormwater permits regarding changes to Bellevue's surface water engineering standards. The training will provide an overview of the 2017 standards -- revised since the city adopted a 2014 amendment to the state Department of Ecology Stormwater Management Manual for Western Washington. The training will highlight the most significant changes, including low-impact development requirements.
The surface water engineering standards now include a site assessment and planning packet that will guide you through the information needed to prepare a storm report. The engineering standards also include a link to city GIS map showing areas feasible for infiltration type best management practices. Bellevue has determined these areas based upon infiltration infeasibility criteria contained in the 2014 amendment of the Department of Ecology 2012 Stormwater Management Manual. The draft standards will be available online after Oct. 3, 2016.
