The City of Bellevue is currently accepting applications from individuals interested in serving on the Parks & Community Services Department’s Ad Hoc Pickleball/Tennis Committee.
Purpose: The Pickleball/Tennis Ad hoc Committee provides input and feedback on outdoor court issues with the City of Bellevue Parks & Community Services.
Tasks:
- Community Engagement: Facilitate communication between the City of Bellevue Parks & Community Services Department and the local pickleball and tennis community to address concerns and gather feedback.
- Promote Pickleball and Tennis: Encourage participation in pickleball and tennis across all age groups and skill levels within the community, as well as accessibility to everyone regardless of background or ability.
- Facilities: Provide input regarding the needs of the pickleball and tennis communities. Utilize the committee to gather information from users of the outdoor courts.
Recruitment
Pickleball/Tennis Ad hoc Committee members will be chosen from applications of interested community residents. City of Bellevue Parks & Community Service staff will conduct application review and selection.
Selection Criteria:
- Must be a City of Bellevue resident.
- Expertise & Experience: Members should have relevant knowledge and experience in providing pickleball and/or tennis input.
- Communication Skills: Members should be able to communicate clearly and work well in a team setting.
- Availability & Commitment: Each member has the time and willingness to commit to the committee's work. Committee members must be willing to volunteer a minimum of six hours a month, which includes a monthly meeting. The first meeting will be in-person, subsequent monthly meetings will be held online via Microsoft Teams.
