The Bellevue Youth Theatre is an inclusive recreational program for ages 5-19, with the focus on teen participants. Persons with disabilities, families and older adults are encouraged to participate. The emphasis of the theatre is to build self-esteem, teamwork and confidence in youth while performing in a supportive environment. Children 11 and younger, and first-time participants, may have limited roles. For more information, please call 425-452-7155. Registration is open to one show per participant. You may not register to be in more than one show.

Rapunzel class # 2109599

This show was cancelled in March of 2020, but the cast is invited to come back to reprise their roles or perform in better one. New participants are encouraged to participate as well. Rehearsals and performances are subject to COVID-19 requirements. Please note that Rapunzel rehearsals begin before the other two productions. NO CONFLICTS NOVEMBER 15-21.

The Velveteen Rabbit class # 2109601

With enjoyable parts for ALL AGES, we explore the lives our stuffed animals and their desire to become real. This is a fun story with unique characters. Rehearsals and performances are subject to COVID-19 requirements. NO CONFLICTS NOVEMBER 29-DECEMBER 5.

How the Penguins Saved Santa Claus class # 2109602

This BYT classic has lots of fun parts for ALL AGES as the penguins try to get Santa Claus back on his trip with the seals in close pursuit. Rehearsals and performances are subject to COVID-19 requirements. NO CONFLICTS DECEMBER 13-19.

Rehearsal begins: Monday, October 4, 5-7 p.m.

Performs at BYT: December 17-19

Performances:

  • Friday, December 17 at 7 p.m.
  • Saturday, December 18 at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m.
  • Sunday, December 19 at 2 p.m.

Fees:
Residents - Free
Non-residents - $150

Refunds (for non-Bellevue residents):

  • If you withdraw seven calendar days prior to the start of class (first meeting), you will receive a $140 refund.
  • If you withdraw one to six days prior to the start of class (first meeting), your refund will be $75.
  • If you withdraw on or after the first class (first meeting), you will not receive a refund.
  • NOTE: The withdrawal must be processed. Voicemail and email requests do not constitute "being processed." You must speak to someone live to consider you or your child withdrawn. If you are calling on the weekend, you may call Bellevue Parks & Community Services' main line at 425-452-6885 and press 1 to be transferred to someone live.
  • In addition, you will not be refunded if you don't like your part or feel you don't have enough lines.
