Experience this space as your space, a place of belonging, creativity, and community pride. Drop in or stay all day! Coffee and refreshments are on us, and every workshop and activity is free and open to all.

Get to know City Hall

Step inside City Hall and dive into hands‑on, family‑friendly activities that show how Bellevue works behind the scenes.

  • Snap photos with Bellevue police and their motorcycles
  • Climb aboard a fire truck and meet Bellevue’s firefighters
  • Enjoy a citywide scavenger hunt around City Hall
  • Join guided tours of the Emergency Operations Center and Transportation Management Center
  • Explore interactive booths hosted by city departments and discover the essential services they provide
  • Meet and connect with City leadership and staff throughout the day

Celebrating Diversity

Celebrate the day with live music and dance on the City Hall Plaza! 

Experience the vibrant traditions of Aztec dance with Calpulli Nahuli Ollin Tezcatlipocatl, move your feet during salsa lessons and a performance by Salsaymotion, and enjoy high-energy K-Pop routines by Coffee Dance Studio. 

Between performances, DJ Mina will keep the energy flowing with music throughout the plaza—making it all-ages celebration of culture, rhythm and community.

Discovery Tours

Come discover your city! Take a walking tour, explore new corners of Bellevue, or taste something delicious on one of our unique Discovery Tours.

  • Flavors of Bellevue: Hop aboard for a progressive tasting experience featuring some of Bellevue’s most delicious restaurants. Important note: This tour has a very limited number of seats. Spots will be assigned using a random lottery.
     
  • Grand Connection Walking Tour: Get a first-hand look at the future of Bellevue’s downtown and learn how the Grand Connection will bring the city together east to west.
     
  • Photography Tour: Want to capture that magical Bellevue moment? Join us for a guided photography walk through some of the city’s most beautiful stops and learn techniques to help your photos shine.
     
  • Mercer Slough Park Tour: Nestled in the heart of Bellevue, explore 329-acre Mercer Slough Nature Park and its beautiful wetland landscape. Mercer Slough is Lake Washington’s largest remaining wetland, containing hundreds of plant species and abundant water resources.

Pre‑event sign‑ups are encouraged for Discovery Tours to reserve your spot: Registration will be available Aug. 3.

Community Workshops

Bring a friend or meet a new one as you learn something new in these welcoming, hands‑on activity sessions. Give these hands-on sessions a try:

  • Pressing fresh apple cider
  • Get creative with different craft activities
  • Joining a beginner‑friendly salsa dancing
  • Exploring the practice of Tai Chi and mindful movement

Workshops are family‑friendly and open as long as supplies last.

Pre‑event sign‑ups are encouraged for Community Workshops to reserve your spot: Registration will be available Aug. 3.

Voices of Bellevue

Don’t miss this TED‑style storytelling event where a diverse group of community members share their personal journeys of finding belonging in Bellevue. 

Join us in Council Chambers from 1–2:30 p.m. to experience inspiring stories that reveal how Bellevue’s community is woven together.

Kids Space

Stop by the Kids Quest Fun Zone—a playful, family-friendly space designed for creativity, curiosity, and fun.

Kids can explore through hands‑on activities, games, crafts, and imaginative play. Cozy corners are available for quieter moments as well.

The Kids Space is open for drop‑in fun throughout the entire day.
