    2025 Neighbor Link Summer Events

    What is Neighbor Link?

Want to get to know your neighbors better this summer? The Neighbor Link program helps form resilient communities by supporting summer celebrations where residents get the opportunity to connect with one another, neighborhood associations and city resources. We believe that neighbors who know one another make a difference in the quality of life, enjoyment and safety for all Bellevue residents.

    Who is Neighbor Link for?

Neighbor Link began in 2009 as a way to support and encourage summer celebrations within neighborhoods or neighborhood parks, including block parties, 4th of July events, and National Night Out. The program is available to support Bellevue residents and neighborhood associations running events between June 1 and September 30 of each year.

Please read the information below to learn how Neighbor Link can support your event.

    What Neighbor Link can provide:

    • A City of Bellevue graphic to promote your event (options are Block Party, 4th of July, or Night Out).
    • Physical signage: limited to 8.5”x11” flyers, two A-board signs and one community banner. (print requests must be submitted at least 5 business days in advance.)
    • Application for street closure, if applicable. (Permit required. Request must be submitted separately and at least 14 business days in advance.)
    • Brochures and physical information on current and/or pertinent city programs
    • Request attendance from a member of the Bellevue Neighborhood Outreach Team and/or Neighborhood Liaison (subject to availability).
    • Request attendance from a representative from Bellevue Fire or Bellevue Police (subject to availability).

    What Neighbor Link cannot provide:

    • Planning for your event
    • Printing flyers and signage for non-city-created graphics
    • Providing food or other supplies.
    • Support for events outside of the Neighbor Link scope (time of year, location, etc).

Ready to get started? Submit your Neighbor Link event application below.

Instructions for Requesting a Street Closure for Block Parties

Requesting a permit for a street closure for Neighbor Link events is free. All permits will require two supplemental documents to complete the application:

    1. City Approved Road Closure Map This is an aerial map of your street with markings for the barrier locations. We recommend using a map service like Google maps to find your street, and adding the markings yourself.
    2. Neighborhood Agreement Petition Fill out this document with information from only the neighbors affected by the proposed closure. You will need at least 80% agreement.

Once you have those documents ready, follow these steps to submit your street closure permit application:

    1. Create a login for MyBuilding Permit
    2. Jurisdiction: Bellevue
    3. Application Type: Right-of-Way
    4. Project Type: Single Family Residential
    5. Activity Type: Street Use
    6. Scope of Work: Block Parties

Fill out the project details for date, time and location. Add the attachments and it will be reviewed for approval. Please allow 14 business days for review prior to the event.
