Mercer Slough Environmental Education Center, 1625 118th Avenue SE
Beavers’ ability to change the landscape is second only to humans. These amazing rodents are so valuable to the ecosystem that Native Americans often referred to them as the “sacred center.” Not only do they create a healthy habitat for a number of aquatic species, but they also provide essential natural services for humans as well. Come learn more about these nocturnal creatures that call the Mercer Slough home.
