Nominations are now open for the 33rd annual Community Leadership awards through 5 p.m. Friday, May 5. Bellevue Youth Link, a youth leadership program provided by the City of Bellevue in partnership with the Bellevue School District, is sponsoring the awards.
The free celebration is open to the public, 6-7:30 p.m., Wednesday, May 24, at City Hall, 450 110th Ave. NE.
Nominations are being accepted in the following categories:
- Advocacy for Cultural & Heritage Pride
- Advocacy for Education
- Advocacy for Family Support
- Advocacy for Social Justice – Group
- Advocacy for Social Justice – Individual
- Advocacy for Well Being
- Advocacy in Sports & Recreation
- Environmental Champion
- 9. Excellence in Youth Arts
- Outstanding Creative & Innovative Thinker
- Outstanding Elementary School Student
- Outstanding Middle School Student
- Outstanding High School Student
- Outstanding Inclusivity & Allyship
- Outstanding Youth Volunteer
- Unsung Hero
- Norm Maleng Social Justice Award*
- Bellevue Youth Council “MVP” Award*
- Phil Kushlan Volunteer Award*
*Bellevue Youth Link participation is required for these awards.
Youth Link provides innovative youth leadership and community service programming for middle and high school students.
