As the city takes the final step to 100 percent paperless permitting, it is offering a workshop to guide residents and contractors on how to use the online permitting services available on MyBuildingPermit.com.
Development Services is hosting the free workshop on Wednesday, April 24, 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. at City Hall (450 110th Ave. NE) in room 1E-112. Participants should bring a laptop or tablet for one-on-one assistance with:
- applying online;
- uploading PDFs for plan review;
- checking permit status; and
- scheduling an inspection.
The number of permits processed electronically in Bellevue has been steadily rising, from just 36 percent in 2011 to more than 80 percent last year. MyBuildingPermit.com, a 24/7 regional portal, reduces the cost customers traditionally paid submitting project plans in paper.
To RSVP for the free workshop, contact Monica Brown (mgbrown@bellevuewa.gov or 425-452-6128).
The workshop is wheelchair-accessible. Captioning, American Sign Language (ASL) and language interpreters are available upon request. Please call 425-452-6168 at least 48 hours in advance. If you are deaf or hard of hearing, dial 711 (TR). Assisted listening devices are available upon request.
