Residents are invited to hear stories of going green -- by Bellevue residents, for Bellevue residents -- at a neighborhood forum at City Hall on Tuesday, June 30.
The event, "Going Green in Your Home and Neighborhood," 7-8:30 p.m., will feature a panel of residents sharing personal "green" stories, as well as a resource fair with tips and information, and table discussions for those who want to go more in-depth on a particular topic. Topics include energy efficiency, urban agriculture, rain gardens, pedestrian and bike infrastructure, backyard habitat and solar energy.
Listen to the experiences of your neighbors, young and old, who are working with local organizations to make Bellevue a greener place, including Eastside Energy Corps, Farmer Frog, 12,000 Rain Gardens for Puget Sound and Master Naturalists.
The city's Neighborhood Outreach and Environmental Stewardship Initiative programs organized the event. The forum is free, and no RSVP is necessary. For more information, contact jellenhorn@bellevuewa.gov or Neighborhood Outreach staff at 425-452-6836.
