To further promote social distancing, Bellevue Parks & Community Services will close both parking lots at Downtown Park starting Wednesday, April 15. The closures are part of an effort to discourage large numbers of people traveling by vehicle to destination parks.

Only the accessible spaces in the southern lot near Inspiration Playground will be available. The park will remain open for walking. Park rangers will be on-site to encourage social distancing and assist with parking.

Bellevue is known as a “City in a Park,” and 73 percent of residents live within 1/3 mile of a park or trail access point. People are encouraged to use the local park facilities near their homes rather than driving to another park in the city.
