Gregory D. Marks, actor, producer and community advocate, will screen his moving 2014 short film, "Shift Paradigm," at the Bellevue Downtown Library, October 16, 7-8:30 pm. He will also discuss his new community-building movement, Right Now Today.
Marks will share his journey as a homeless person, a recovering drug addict (12 years clean, no relapses) and who he is today. Directed by Ben Andrews and featuring Marks and Deanna Sarkar, "Shift Paradigm" is a short film that focuses on how people can help each other overcome personal tragedies to become healthy, productive members of society.
The goal of Right Now Today is to unite diverse communities to do meaningful work, and carries the slogan "people helping people." In addition to the short film and presentation, there will be a 20-minute question-and-answer session with Marks.
The presentation is free, but reservations are strongly recommended. Contact Kevin Henry at khenry@bellevuewa.gov, or call 425 452-7886.
This program is sponsored by the Parks & Community Services Diversity program and King County Library System.
