The City of Bellevue is hosting an open house on Thursday, Nov. 20, 6–8 p.m. at City Hall where staff, in coordination with the Centering Communities of Color Coordination Team will share the preliminary Diversity Advantage Plan 2035, the plan update process, how community feedback informed the update, and how the plan will be implemented.
Dinner and activities for children will be provided. Please pre-register.
In 2014, the City of Bellevue adopted its first Diversity Advantage Plan, which established 60 specific recommendations for creating a more diverse, inclusive and equitable community. From 2023-2024, city staff engaged with the Bellevue community to learn what needed to be included in an update to the plan so the city could continue serving and responding to the diverse needs of the community. The new plan envisions a future where the community and the city work together to promote diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging, leading to an improved quality of life for all residents.
