Registration for Civic Innovation Exchange event opens June 3
The City of Bellevue, Bellevue College, Washington Technology Solutions (WaTech) and King County Information Technology (KCIT) today announced the launch of The Exchange Northwest, a new regional partnership focused on advancing civic innovation, digital equity and community collaboration across the Pacific Northwest.
The partnership establishes a shared ecosystem designed to connect government, education, startups, small businesses, nonprofits and residents in building innovative, community driven technology solutions. The Exchange Northwest draws on each partner’s strengths to support innovation in government services, expand opportunities for small businesses and entrepreneurs, support AI innovation in the region and create more equitable access to technology and resources across the state.
As part of the regional kickoff, registration is now open for the 2nd Annual Civic Innovation Exchange, taking place June 3, 2026, 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Meydenbauer Center in Bellevue. The all day event is open to the public and brings together leaders from public agencies, startups, nonprofits, academia and the broader community for a series of keynotes, panels, hands on workshops and interactive breakout sessions.
Participants will have the opportunity to connect with regional leaders, explore emerging technologies and help shape the future of civic innovation across the Northwest. This year’s program features keynote conversations and content sessions aligned with four tracks:
- Advancing Regional AI Leadership
- Accelerating Civic Innovation
- Empowering Community and Small Business Innovation
- Igniting Pathways for Regional Talent Growth
