The City Council is accepting applications to fill a vacancy on the Arts Commission. Interested community members who live in Bellevue are encouraged to apply online by 5 p.m., Monday, Jan. 19.
The Arts Commission advises and makes recommendations to the council on matters of art, with the goal of enhancing the cultural experience and raising the art consciousness of Bellevue. The commission advises on the city’s Public Art program, directs funding to arts organizations working in Bellevue and helps with cultural planning. The commission meets the first Wednesday of each month at 4:30 p.m.
Commissioners are appointed by the mayor and confirmed by the council to serve four-year volunteer terms. Service on boards and commissions offers community members a meaningful way to help shape Bellevue’s future.
Who can apply?
Applicants must live in Bellevue. The city values and encourages participation from community members of all backgrounds and experiences.
