Housing Opportunities in Mixed-Use Areas Public Information Session
Virtual event
The City of Bellevue is updating its code to help encourage more housing opportunities in mixed-use areas.
The City of Bellevue will be holding an virtual information session to share information about a proposed planning initiative focusing on promoting housing by allowing for additional density, building heights, limiting or removing identified impediments to housing production, and creating a mandatory or voluntary affordable housing program in many of the mixed-use areas (places that allow for a combination of housing, office, retail, recreational, etc. uses).
The planning initiative proposes to update and establish land use districts to be consistent with the Future Land Use Map from the recently adopted Comprehensive Plan. Information will be provided on potential topics covered by this planning initiative, the proposed geographic scope, approach to rezones, and general schedule.
There are five different opportunities to attend an event. There is one virtual option and four in-person options in different parts of the city. The same information will be covered at each event; you only need to choose the location and format that works best for you.
The virtual event will include a short presentation followed by questions and answers. The in-person events will all be drop-in events, where you may come at any time, review information boards and speak with project staff.
Registration is required to get the Zoom link. People are welcome to come to any of the in-person events without registering.
