As part of its efforts to address homelessness, the city in spring 2024 launched a safe parking pilot program for residents living in their vehicles in Bellevue. The program is located at 515 116th Ave. NE, known as the Lincoln Center, a city-owned property that was previously used as an interim men's shelter by PorchLight (Congregations for the Homeless).
The primary goal of the Safe Parking program is to provide stabilization to individuals as they seek permanent housing. The program provides a clean, safe, off-street parking area with nearby access to bathrooms, showers and a kitchen, as well as case management and related services to support residents.
The program serves individuals of any demographic background who use their vehicle as a sole place of residence, with a focus on families with children. The program provides services and support that aid clients in their search for housing. In its first six months, the program served more than 30 families.
If you are seeking a safe parking lot now, please check Shelters and Safe Parking. If you are experiencing homelessness and would like assistance, or if you have additional questions about the Safe Parking program, please contact homelessness outreach program manager Nico Quijano (425-452-4105 or nquijano@bellevuewa.gov).
